Every sisterlybond is different yet the emotions are the same. [Corny but True]
As the olderbrother of two amazing, yet, annoying younger sisters, I would be the spectatorof many sly comments, smiles, frowns, and physical altercations.
Coming from a largeDominican family, I would stand back and observe multiple sister to sisterrelationships. These sister interactions would range from my infant nieces tomy forty year old aunts.
Even though I wouldthoroughly enjoy the eye rolling, I would also witness a majestic sisterly bondcome through the grapevine: bringing my two sisters as close as peanut butterand jelly.
Some sisterlybonds bloom or, sadly, dissolve as the years pass by. Some moments are as quickas milliseconds whereas other moments could last days, weeks, months, and years– or at least the slight memory of the initial bond.
“Why?!” I used to ask myself.
I could finallyanswer my own question: As sisters, Ican only speculate that there is a feeling of “US”(not only as women but as sisters) against the world regardless of personal andsocial identities.
Hence, Icreated The Shut Up Campaign.
The Shut UpCampaign, actually, stemmed from the models’ (Valerie T. & Ashlee T.)younger, adopted, brother Ethan T. Ethan is an adorable two year old boy who hasa mouth of a sailor. Whenever Ethan is tired of people, his go to phrase is, “Shut Up.” Fortunately,you will see Ethan’s handsome face as he is a sight for sore eyes!
The Shut UpCampaign is through the eyes of Ethan as I wanted you, the audience, to analyzethe sisterly bond in action: being that, as a self- identified male, I couldnot understand the relationship of two sisters.
With the helpof Ethan’s voice, I hope you could formulate how the story develops as seenthrough the pictures, the faces, the emotions, and the lasting memories.
