FRANCIS BACON
However unpleasant some of his work is, I find his work to be very truthful. This artist completely contradicts Kerry Darlington's styled work of "dreaming, fairytales and stories" but he puts across a stubborn reality, something which I admire about him. Francis Bacon is inspired by the expressionist movement of how his painting come across and make the viewer feel. His work views the uncomfortable truths around anxiety and other mental disorders. He is well known for pieces which he painted about soldiers after the war, and how their post traumatic stress was represented inside their minds. He is my inspiration as he speaks truth without speaking.
