Project 01, Creating using Glyphs, Art 230-5
The images I have posted in this Behance portfolio are from my First Project. The project is designed to make the designer (Me) think about fonts and different font styles. I learned fonts can be used as artwork and to relay a message if the design is intended to send a message. An example of this would be any ad poster advertising a product, movie or an upcoming event to name just a few design possibilities.
The above photo is of the two finished composites I created and mounted to showcase in my studio. The one on the left was created using the Sans-serif font named Neue Haas Grotesk Display Pro 55 Roman. The one on the right was composed using the Serif font named Stempel Garamond LT STD Roman.
A little information on this piece, at one point it started off as Alma 13:11. I created 12 different sketches before liking this one. Personal it is a message to myself that we can find the gospel of Jesus Christ in all things if we look for it. Neue Haas Grotesk Display Pro 55 Roman was the sans-serif font used to composed the above composition.
This piece of art I really love. It is the numbers starting to go into a spin. I the mirrored it left and down to get this effect. The Serif font named Stempel Garamond LT STD Roman was used to composed the above composition.
