Here I experimented using very wet watercolour to create blooms of colour, in order to capture the features of the bears in a vaguer and less defined style. What I liked about these illustrations, in particular, is that there are areas where the colours have become contaminated and murky and there are also hints of more pigmented colour I have added, like the purple tones. I liked the contrast and variation this created.
