This piece was created and exhibited specifically for this room located at Fort Adams in Newport, Rhode Island. It was part of a group exhibition in response to the fort that was originally intended to protect the bay beginning in 1824. As time has passed it has functioned as various other unexpected things aside from the battle it always anticipated and never got to see.
