Purpose of the Project
The Massachusetts College of art and Design as many as 800 colleges in the United States are using an academic web platform software called Webadvisor ( also named DaVinci for MassArt). For the assignment purpose, we were to research for the existing problems in the system and redesign the interface to solve those problems. Among many of the problems this platform faces, there are two very important issues discovered during the research. First, the outdated design interface created an extreme difficult and inconvenient navigation process for the user (student and faculty). Second, the lack of information hierarchy in the system had made it difficult for the user to keep track of their information. Therefore, the new interface design for MassArt's DaVinci is focusing for providing a smooth navigation and transition for the user and a clear and organized information hierarchy.
