Target User: Live music appreciator living in a big city

People
Physical – Since music itself is very widely ranging and is something appreciated by all kinds of people, it is expected that the target user will range widely in terms of physical characteristics such as height, weight, ability, and senses.
Psychological – The target user will be someone who is living in a large city so their ability to understand complex city maps and way-finding systems will be more comprehensive than someone who lives in a small town. They will also have a good understanding of the geographical setup of their city and the different areas and neighbourhoods that make it up. They will have understanding of different genres of music as well.
Usage – The people using the app will range from novice to expect in terms of technical knowledge and experience.

Activities
Frequency – People will use the app on a weekly or monthly basis.
Cooperation – The target user will use the app both alone and with others. There should be some sort of communication component built in for sharing.
Complexity – The app will have customizable levels of complexity based on what the user wants to see. The user defines how complex their experience is.
Content – The user will input as many factors as their like (including date, price, genre, location, venue, neighbourhood, artist) and the app will output a mapped list of upcoming concerts. The app will have the ability to read the user’s GPS location (with the user’s permission) and use this for location purposes.

Context
Environmental – The user will use the app in a wide range of locations. They might use it while killing time on a noisy commute, while at the library, or while at home watching TV.
Social – The user will at times use the app while in the company of a friend. Since going to concerts is typically (although not always) something you do with others, chances are that the user will be coordinating dates, locations, etc., with another person who is present either physically or digitally.
Organizational – There aren’t any sort of institutions or workplace functionality requirements for the app relevant to the user. It will be a personal app, not an institutionally integrated one.

Technologies
Medium – Users will have relatively new smartphones that will have a wide variety of existing apps installed on them including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Spotify, and Itunes.Input – Input will be provided through touch.Output – Output will be text and imagery. No audio component will exist.Communication – Sharing capability will exist to share concerts with peers.Content – Content for concert events will come directly from the venues and will be updated by the venues.
