Art Deco #1 (2009)

This piece is part of a new series of art quilts based onthe art deco influence from 1910 to 1939. Commercial fabrics and batiks areused to create the art deco design in this quilt. The design is carried out tothe edges of the piece from the center design with dense hand stitchingimitating the constructed design. A very tactile art work; art collectors wantto touch and feel when they view it.
