Yacht racing posters

Medway Yacht Club is a sailing club located on the River Medway, about 45 minutes from London. Their Cruiser Class races are made up of small and large sailing yachts who race together under a handicap system. I created these posters to promote some of the races in the 2016 season. Cruiser Class yachts are so named because they usually have a cabin below with some sort of sleeping accomodation. The boats are split into two divisions based on their size and speed.
Poster for the first of the season's Trophy Races, a one off race where the winner of each division takes the coveted trophy.
Poster for the King of the River race, where competitors can round the marks on the course in any order of their choice. This results in a stern test of local knowledge, as the Medway is tidal with many shallow and drying areas.
Poster for the club's single and double handed races. Traditionally racing boats would have anywhere for 3 to 10 crew (depending on size). As people have less and less free time, skippers have found it hard to round up large crews of people regularly. As a result, short-handed races like this have become increasingly popular.
