In April 2016, I collaborated with audiovisual artist Tracy Songyun Ling for filming her thesis project. I took a part as her cinematographer and still photographer.

“A.L.A.D” includes a 2D printed book, a 3D printed bookcase and an audio-visual live performance. Its visual language system evolved from outlines of Chinese Landscape architecture that when fragmented resembled words. All the abstract symbols were remixed into a unique grid system. The characters formed a visual language that is not legible at present but will be understood in the future by a post-humanist world culture.
