Phase bluetooth speaker

The Phase bluetooth speaker, the first of its kind offering a sleek modern appearance suitable for any contemporary living space. Being portable the devise is not restricted to one living space, allowing individuals the chance to take the speaker to locations without electricity and enjoy the moment with its sweet high quality sound.
The client for the Phase bluetooth speaker is Bang & Olufsen a Danish electronics company that designs and manufactures primarily audio products. The scope and limitations I received were to focus primarily on materiality, sensitivity, quality of sound, user interaction and to create a speaker that doesn't qualify as a boom box as that is not the envisioned market the speaker will fall into.
To begin the concept sketches for the speaker I experimented with a  wide range of designs to find exactly what I was looking for.  After completing a sufficient amount of concept sketches knowing I had at least five fully realistic and well defined speakers.  I then took those selected designs and began to explore possible material and colour combinations.
The Phase bluetooth speaker consists of three sealed speaker housings for the reason that a sealed speaker housing increases the quality of transient sound bursts and generates a excellent sound across all music genres.
Although the bluetooth is advertised as the main connection method the speaker also has an aux as well as usb input option to ensure more than one method of connecting ones music. The speakers buttons have been minimized to a power switch and mode button to avoid confusion and uncertainty when using the device.
