Adjustment Panel
Before and After
This picture was taken on Wall Street in Lower Manhattan of New York City. In this transformation, I used the adjustment panel. I was able to change the picture so it is now black and white. Also, the "after" picture is much more blurry than the "before" picture.
Highlight and Shadow
Before and After
This picture was shot in Times Square at night. You see people walking throughout the streets and the beautiful billboards and advertisements over them. You see the picture of the people below got more brighter in the "after" by using the Highlight and Shadow feature than the "before" picture.
Adjustment Layer
Before and After
This is a picture of a nearby church in Lower Manhattan. Really beautiful landscape around the church as well as the inside. I used the adjustment layer feature to make the image more darker which makes it harder to see the church more clearly.
Blending Modes
Before and After
This was a distant shot of the Empire State Building in New York City. The Empire State Building is one of the largest skyscrapers in the city. I used blending modes in this image by making the picture more yellow.
Image Mode (Grayscale)
Before and After
This is a picture of Federal Hall in New York City. This landmark is really famous for George Washington's Inauguration Ceremony. I used the image mode (grayscale) feature of Photoshop. As you can see, the image is now black and white as before it was in full color.
Patch Tool
Before and After
This is a picture of St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City. This is a really well known landmark of the "Big Apple." I used the patch tool and added parts of the cathedral to the other buildings/apartments nearby. You can see this on the side apartment and at the top of the office building.
Clone Stamp Tool
Before and After
This picture shows Jersey City across the Hudson River. It was a very beautiful day and a stunning view of Jersey City. I used the clone stamp tool and removed the roof of the restaurant in the bottom-right corner.
Resolution
Before and After
This is a ground-to-roof picture of a really tall skyscraper. It was so tall that my neck even hurt a little from looking. This is very common in Manhattan as there so many of these skyscrapers. I used the resolution feature and made the "after" image more blurry than the "before" image.
Pen Tool
Before and After
This is a picture of a tall office complex in mid-Manhattan. Very gorgeous view on the outside of the complex. This was really common in Manhattan as a whole. In this transformation, I used the pen tool and simply drew a line through the front of the building. This was really common in Manhattan as a whole.
Brushes
Before and After
I took this picture when entering Wall Street in Lower Manhattan. In my final transformation, I used the brushes tool and made several changes to the "after" photo. One change I made was adding fairly small black dots to the trees. Then, I painted black over the small picture next to the Wall Street sign. Lastly, I painted white, the glass window of the nearby financial building.
