In my first semester of university we had typography lessons in which the final project was to set up a book. Certain things were decreed by the teacher, such as the format, grid, font (Univers), color and content (both text and infographics). The only thing we had to add were our smaller projects which we did throughout the semester, like the cover page and the chapters which were not mere informations about typography.
Since there was not a lot of room to play around I decided to at least give the book some more personal touch by doing the binding myself and decided for coptic stitch.
