Continuing with the lines project, we went out into Barnsley town and collected things, took photos, made drawings... I quickly drew the outlines of some buildings and skylines of the colleges in pen. I left a lot of space on the paper so that I could add annotations or anything else I wanted. When I got home, I decided to use tape to create strips of empty space so that when I used the water colour, it would create a cool pattern and look more interesting. It also allowed me to play with lines. This experiment has helped me to develop my skills with watercolour, and also taught me to be more creative with the concept 'lines'.
