This brief requires exploring various approaches to produce variations of manipulation on a portrait photograph. The challenge is to explore the analogue, without any digital imaging.

The initial works were experimentation created by exploring various mediums, perspectives and textures. Results varied through the use of different types of material, and also methods such as bleaching, burning and baking.

The later works explore ways to distort images without any 

physical manipulation. One of the method was to move the image while scanning it. Next, the project progresses conceptually on how to manipulate the context of the man in the portrait.
