Poster Art for new York City Sketch Fest 2010. I really like how it turned out.
Village Voice's "Choice Eats" 2010 illustration used for the ad. Back to the isolated figure, my inspiration came from Mucha's iconic art-novou posters from the turn of the century. I wanted her to look more natural and real. The voice wasn't satisfied with her original hair do, and it took 9 different "do's" to get to this one. Freehand illustration with digital colors.
Village Voice's "Choice Eats" 2009 illustration used for the ad.  A big departure from the previous year, having more time to work on the project and using Photoshop for the coloring. Also thematically different, our goddess no longer floating but delicately stomping across mid town manhattan, King Kong style, perhaps on her way to the event.
These are illustrations for Yoga Teacher David Regelin's Multi-Intenso Yoga. David and I created three "Luchadors" , super yogi-mexican wrestlers. The illustrations are also featured on his website www.multi-intenso.com
Village Voice's "Choice Eats" 2008 illustration used for the ad. Based on the Indian sheeva goddess, this drawing was put together quickly and colored with watercolors. Used Indian street art for inspiration. I think this was the sketch which was approved and used, not needing a more final illustration. Really quirky and totally different than what came the following years.
