World Population Density
World population density map measured by quantity of fingerprints.
This map represents two things - the real amount of land that makes up each continent and the population density. The map itself is an adaptation of Peter’s World Map, a map in which countries are represented by their actual size, rather than being drawn out from a flattened sphere. This map takes into account the contours of the earth and depicts the continents depending on the actual amount of landspace. The population density is shown by higher or lower density of thumbprints, more thumbprints = more people = more population density.
