3D Rendering Exercise - Subject was dinner table with shou sugi ban finished wooden top surface and clear resin casted legs. Accented with gold-leaf pillars with a partial disconnect to the feet intended to present the illusion of a floating table when seen at a glance. A simple front perspective shot is juxtaposed with a close up view of the accented legs. A complimentary purple fill light is used to enhance the warm orange and yellows found in the gold-leaf legs. Details like the depth-of-field blur and tiny, resin-trapped bubbles are used to push a sense of photorealism.

Hero Shot from Welding Class Final Project - A very uniquely designed home stereo subwoofer, this inside-out concept was intended to showcase an overly powered 8inch Audiobahn driver. With the driver suspended within an acrylic cylinder housing above a tuned conical port, the whole working end is elevated from the ground by three faceted, steel sheet metal legs. Reminiscent of ice, the legs' linear forms were intended to remind the viewer of the fractured forms revealed by crumbling glaciers sometimes seen reaching out of a frozen ocean. The cool blue fill light in the rendering is intended to push this theme of ice and glaciers.

3D Rendering Exercise - using a 3D CAD model of a Fender Guitar made for another project, these images replace the main guitar body with floating, primitive forms purely for the sake of visual enjoyment. The rendering was created with toon materials that created clean black line art with bombastic fill colors.

3D Rendering Exercise - The subjects are simple guitar picks launched into the air creating a blizzard of color. This was an introduction to a motion graphic application that had physics simulation capabilities.
