This bookmark was many things before it got this far. I started knowing that I wanted to tie A elements of the North and selected currants, an agate from the Yukon River, and garnets.

After cutting the pieces I couldn't find the balance I thought I was working toward.

At first I designed the bookmark with a metal back plate, but it looked much more overbuilt than I wanted.

I decided to eliminate the metal back plate and go with a textile bookmark, with silver adornment at each end.

The pieces are cut and stones are fit before setting the stones, polishing and finishing.
