Volunteer Workshops

Search Years(www.searchyears.org) is a Non Government Organisation based in Gurgaon, India. It provides quality education to underprivileged children in government schools and to out of school children.

Their vision is to create an environment, an opportunity where children and young people can realize their full potential, take control of their lives and interact with the world around them. The mission is to research, create, develop and employ, such innovative mediums and tools that make the process of learning inspiring, impactful and above all, full of wonderment and fun of our partners - children.

They allow volunteering for such social change, wherein the basic requirement is “time”. Volunteer should be able to provide ample time to such children rather than just conducting modules once a while. The interactive modules which stretch to at least 6-8 months are planned to enhance vocational skills, create interest and could generate part time employment opportunities so that their education could continue smoothly.

I conducted various workshops educating them about textile, colors, crafts, art history, weaving, macrame, shibori, resist dye/print techniques like batik and photoshop.
