Jeet ki Zidd - Shiva Thapa
The film opens on a boxer’s back. He’s standing and wearing his robe. He starts to walk towards the aisle through which is the ring’s entrance and the scene freezes in motion.
Just as he starts his walk, we cut to him putting music on his phone, in practice, and starting to punch a ‘kadhai’ of hot sand, the scene slows down and again freezes.
VO:
Zidd insaan ko dheet banati hai
Paagalpan ko dhanke ki chot pe bajati hai
We again cut the boxer walking the aisle. As he reaches mid-way, we see someone trying to click a photo of him, the person zooms on his face and we cut to him sitting with a broken nose while he shows a fist to the camera as a sign of determination. The camera pans left and we see medics working on his arm, it has been dislocated. They give it a hard pull and we hear a little shriek as the scene, in a similar way, freezes.
VO:
Ye zid, tooti naak ka balm hai
Nikle kandhe ka pehlwan hai
We again cut back to the boxer walking the aisle, he has almost reached towards the end. We then cut to the boxer, in practice, upper-cutting his opponent and then the referee raising his hand in victory, the scene freezes as well.
VO:
Saamne wale ko knockout kar deti ye zidd
Aur ek baar thaan liya toh chahe kuchh ho jaye
We cut back to the boxer in the aisle, he has reached the ring. The grand stadium is revealed. The camera moves from behind him to his front and it is revealed to be Shiva Thapa. The camera freezes
VO:
Paa ke rehni hai ye zidd.
Waqt aa gaya hai phirse ek zidd pakadne ka.
Super appears, Shiva Thapa. Youngest Indian Boxer to qualify for the Olympics.
VO: Jeet ki zidd.
The camera focuses on his face. It’s screaming out determination. We see him dropping his robe, twisting his neck, and pepping himself up.
VO: Toh iss baar koshisho ka saath chhod zidd ka haath pakadna hai.
Supers appear as the VO goes: Rio mein kuchh karna hai.

The film opens on a female gymnast’s back. She has just began walking towards the aisle which goes through the stadium’s inner entrance. The scene freezes in motion.
As she is walking, the camera pans to her feet and then it cuts to a pair of feet running. Cut to, the feet running in different weather conditions like rain, extreme sunlight and mist. The scene slows and freezes. After the run, the camera pans towards her hand and we see her checking how much she has run on her Micromax phone.
VO:
Zidd insaan ko alag hi tarah se sankati hai
Junoon ki navs pakad ke sapno ko daudati hai
We see her walking the aisle again. We then cut to a mid-shot of a gymnast bar on which she is practicing. The camera focuses on one of her feet. The ankle has a medicated brace on it. She does a flip and there is a suggestion of her landing. Cut to her stretching as long as humanely possible. The scene freezes in motion again.
VO:
Ye zid, sooje pair pe garmahat hai
Kamar seedha kar badhte rehne ki aahat hai
We see her walking the aisle again. She has almost reached the end. We cut to her in practice, running and doing a flip while someone video records her on their Micromax phone. She is in mid-air when the scene freezes.
VO:
Hawa mein gulati maar sabko peeche chhodh deti ye zidd
Aur ek baar thaan liya toh chahe kuchh ho jaye
We cut back to the gymnast, she has reached the end of the aisle and the grand stadium is revealed. The camera moves from behind her to her front and she is revealed to be Dipa Karmakar. The camera freezes.
VO: Paa ke rehni hai ye zidd. Waqt aa gaya hai phirse ek zidd pakadne ka.
Supers appear, Dipa Karmakar. First ever Indian woman gymnast to qualify for the Olympics.
VO: Jeet ki zidd.
The camera focuses on her face. She looks confident as she starts stretching and pepping up for her turn.
VO: Toh iss baar koshisho ka saath chhod zidd ka haath pakadna hai.
Supers appear as the VO goes: Rio mein kuch karna hai
