In relation to the First Things First manifesto, I produced a poster that portrayed my own observations and perceptions of the role of Graphic Communication, and what effect it will have in shaping the future. In my eyes, Graphic Design can make a simple experience truly unforgettable - you never forget good design, and it's all about creating those dots for people to join together.
This task had tight constraints: it had to be 2 colours. Where I felt this may be difficult, I soon found that it pointed more attention towards the message. I feel my piece is rather self-explanatory, but not in an obvious, over done way. I wanted to show off the skills I've learnt during my typography lectures by showing my understanding of hierarchy and layout. One of my favourite techniques - Pointillism - also got a cameo. It's safe to say that this is one of my favourite pieces from 1st year.
