With the first all-electric vehicle (EV) BMW i3, BMW Korea introduced the most innovative state-of-the-art technology to the Korean market. Before its launch, BMW Korea developed a smart home EV i-charger in order to meet not only the special demands of the Korean consumers but also the specific technical requirements of the Korean market. To guarantee a premium driving lifestyle in every respect, the BMW Korea i-Home charger combines excellent design and function for perfect peace of mind and easy use. Compared to the regular home EV charger, the new BMW Korea i-Home charger is even more compact and easier to install.

Latest charging technology allows faster charging cycles and a more space saving, sleek yet beautiful design of the new EV charger. The polygon shaped silver shell is inspired by the characteristic BMW i design. The charger quotes the unique design language, material and color mix (black, silver, blue) as well as the layered structures so typical for the BMW i range.

At the circular shaped area on the front side, users can verify their identification by scanning the BMW ID card. In charging mode, the elegant illumination of the circular shaped area indicates the charging progress and remaining charging time. After charging, the five-meter cable can be easily hung over the body of the charger. Despite its space-saving structure, the new BMW Korea i-Home charger is big enough to accommodate long charging cables – no additional cable hooks required.
