Ruffles and WSOP were so pleased with the first-year results that they asked us to pull another year out of the deck. To mix things up, WSOP was moving away from XBOX and were introducing their new WSOP game app, so our integration into that app became key. We began promoting with activation at the Main Event, 3 months prior to the Final Table with sampling and social teasers to get the hype up in combination with media placement on ESPN. Then we released our packaging 6 weeks before the final table and gave our consumers the chance to win what the winner of the Final Table would take home, $10 million dollars and a VIP trip to the tournament. All you had to do was download the new WSOP app, enter your bag code, and pick the winner and their winning hand. You were then automatically entered into our VIP trip and given free chips to start playing the WSOP app. The results far exceeded the already stellar previous and we found our trip winner. The only thing left to do was chaperone their trip and make sure they had a winning time.
