This digital photography manipulation illustrates the process at which I have been finding abstracted forms in my work. I begin by sketching an idea, photographing portraits, printing them and finding countless contours, doing drawing studies of the contours I find, and then translating them into a form in one way or another. This process has been involved in the abstracted forms found in A Delicate Portrait of a Manly Man, He'll Find His Way, and Iron in His Mouth, Destressing the Sofa With Every Syllable.
