The 12th Montreal International Black Film Festival

Do Caribe ao Oceano Índico, da África à América do Norte, passando pela Europa e América do Sul, o MIBFF deseja compartilhar suas descobertas cinematográficas negras mais marcantes enquanto se engaja em um debate cultural, social e socioeconômico mais amplo. O MIBFF se tornou o maior festival de cinema negro da atualidade no Canadá. É um festival dinâmico, ousado e inovador que fomenta o desenvolvimento da indústria cinematográfica independente e que oferece um olhar novo e revigorante sobre uma indústria cinematográfica rica e original em crescimento.

From the Caribbean to the Indian Ocean, Africa to North America, via Europe and South America, MIBFF wants to share its most striking black cinematic discoveries while engaging in a wider cultural, social and socio-economic debate. MIBFF has become today’s largest black film festival in Canada It is a dynamic, bold and innovative festival that fosters the development of the independent film industry and which offers a new and refreshing look on a growing, rich and original film industry.

A arte consiste em Adinkras, símbolos criados originalmente pelo Ashanti de Gana e do Gyaman da Costa do Marfim, na África Ocidental, que gradualmente se espalhou para outros países da África.
The artwork consists of Adinkras, symbols created by the Ashanti of Ghana and the Gyaman of Cote d’Ivoire in West Africa, which gradually spread to other countries in Africa.
