Storybook-themed murals at Boston Medical Center Pediatrics Ward. Painted with a team of 3-6 volunteers over the span of one day. My primary contribution to this mural was Curious George.

Murals on canvas for the pediatric holding room at Mass Eye and Ear. We painted two large canvasses for the entrance and nine smaller canvases with individual characters to hang over each bed. As my colleagues installed the canvases, I got to work painting the "tree of life" the hospital had requested be painted directly on the wall by the toys, tying the room together.

MassArt Volunteers partnered with the local MSPCA Angell Adoption Center to create monthly murals based on their events or themes, such as pitbull awareness month (featuring pitbulls at the shelter) or a holiday adoptathon, on the front windows of the adoption center. Materials used were paint markers, which the center supplied.
Storybook-themed murals at Boston Medical Center Pediatrics Ward. Painted with a team of 3-6 volunteers over the span of two visits. This was a unique challenge as the far wall had already been painted with a space theme, but hospital staff wanted to extend the mural somehow into the other curtained-off rooms in the space so all the children would have something cheerful to look at. Our solution was to paint space-filled "clouds" onto the upper border wall of the rooms, integrating the paint colors already present without being too overwhelming.

Here is myself and the other two artists who worked on this room posing for a photo after finishing.
On the one-year anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombing, BIDMC, which received many of the victims of the incident, held a memorial event where doctors, patients, and members of the public were invited to write messages of hope on strips of fabric from recycled scrubs and other cloth, which were then tied to the fence outside the hospital. When the time came to take the cloth strips down, they didn't want to just throw them away, so they came to us and asked if we could make art out of them. We sorted, ironed, trimmed, and glued the strips to create two large (4x6') "Hearts of Hope" murals which now hang in the hospital. This image shows the volunteer team posing with former mayor Michael Dukakis at the opening event for the pieces.
