‘Sustenance’ is an outdoor lifestyle and creative culture magazine founded on the idea of inspiring people to disconnect from their anti-social ways. We have become so engrossed with constantly being on our phones that we forget to appreciate the person right beside us, we waste so much time scrolling through unimportant gossip; then we wonder why there are less hours in the day. Look up. Appreciate and reconnect.
I created sustenance for my final major project in my fourth year of 'Design'. The idea to create this piece was originally from my love of editorial design and experiences with this type of work in the past. Secondly because I wanted to conbine my interests within design and my hobbies together to create a project that I was completely passionate about. I interviewed 8 people from my community who are outdoorsy or emerged in their culture through either their work or hobbies.
