Week 2: Print-Making

Week 3: PrintMaking : MONO-PRINTING + CALLIGRAPHY

MONO-PRINTING

We were tasked to create few monoprints as a part of our printmaking exercises. But before we start the printing, we were tasked to brush up our calligraphy skills by using handscript with brush and markers.

1) Here we have the process of print-making from scratch; cutting of the outlines for my graphics to be rolled on with paint later on.

2) I changed the technique to using the foam board instead. And experiment more with different types of prints and designs.

3) I then focused on the calligraphy, which typefaces suits each design and how am I going to make all the looks appealing for 'visitors' to buy my postcards (part of our brief for the lesson).

4) Making some photoshops of the prints before putting the text in.

5) Final look of the postcards, which for me the very last pic is my chosen postcard to sell!

Here we go!
REFLECTION:

To be honest, I wasn't there for the lesson as I had other events to attend to, but I still ask around and look at videos to study what they did without me in lesson. After that, I planned to meet up with some of my cric friends to do together. From there, I had a better grasp and idea of what to do and what is need to accomplish for that week. Print making, I may consider as eventhough its messy but it is very addictive and fun to do.

The overall result of the projects and images made was awesome. If I could get more colours and time, I would do print making the whole day as the overall look depcits such warmness and very hand  made.
