Walk For Life 2012
Walk For Life was founded in 1989 by HIV and AIDS charity Crusaid. Since then, the Walk has raised millions of pounds to support essential services for people living with HIV.
When Terrence Higgins Trust merged with Crusaid in June 2010 we committed to protect the legacy of it’s Hardship Fund and continue to support people living with HIV in poverty. Walk For Life, now in it’s 23 rdyear, continues to be a highlight of Terrence Higgins Trust’s fundraising calendar and raises money exclusively for the Hardship Fund.
The Walk has always been an incredibly important event for the HIV community, a chance not only to raise vital sponsorship but also to raise awareness and act as a public platform, giving people a voice to grow and shape the nation’s response to the virus and remember loved ones. We're incredibly proud to organise such a historic event.
Walk for Life 2012 was themed around all the royal celebratory events over the past year 'Kings and Queens'. The budget for this campaign was extremely low. It needed to include a fundraising microsite where people could sign up and fundraise through the site as well as all the supporting campaign materials and on the day promotional materials.
