In this course we tried out various natural dyes like Manjista, Ratanjot, Indigo and other dyes and compiled the samples into a book for future reference.
Natural dyeing, unlike synthetic dyeing, has extra steps like mordanting the cloth and preparing the dyes overnight thus making the process lengthy and energy consuming. However it is prefered since there are little to no chemicals involved, making it environmentally friendly.

The colours are sharper on the silk samples than on the cotton ones.
