Self Portrait
This self-portrait is part of an ongoing series which depicts myself and people I know as Mexican calaveras. I chose to represent myself this way because I love they way the calaveras fuse the macabre with such beautiful imagery. The poppies in the background repeat this theme with their double representation of beauty and something more nefarious.
