Propitiation
A spiritual mixed media piece that just came back from the gallery post show. It is done with the obvious overtones of barbed wire representing the crown of thorns and the light in the darkness showing the way. This is done on OSB board with wall spacers so it sits off the wall about an inch. Darker tones, varnish, warm and provoking. This in person begs you to come closer and enjoy the details. I would say best suited in a home with similar colors, stone, wood, leather - best viewed on a lighter wall with light to support the darker image. Detail pics below of some the harshness this painting has....and beauty. and as you can see in the first picture, Abe enjoys this painting as he is caught in contemplation.
