Egg Vessel Project (On Going)

Using a compass I draw a circle on a small block of wood which I then whittle down into a cylinder.
I mark the widest points of my egg on the cylinder and begin to whittle it down to shape! I use a stencil that I 3D printed to make sure my curves are correct.

I may have slipped a few times...

Using the same stencil I begin to create a 3D model in CAD that will be a vessel for my egg.
Here is a better view of my vessel. I save this as an STL file and have it 3D printed on campus before I outsource it to be printed in a higher grade material. I print it on campus first because there are no additional costs and it will allow me to quickly find and fix any errors my design may have.
3D printed  test model. This model was unable to hold the egg as the material is not flexible enough. The final product is made from a flexible plastic that is able to house the egg perfectly.
