A Thousand Years

“A Thousand Years” is a one piece wall paper design designed in Photoshop for SCAD Studio; a recreational space were SCAD students and employees can take wellness classes such as yoga, pilates, meditation and ballet. The objective of the group  project: ‘Who’s Walls Anyways’ was evidently choosing a SCAD location to design for, and based of that choosing a common color palette and theme that had to be kept similar amongst the different designs created by each group member. We all decided to design something that transmitted joy, peace and balance with the inclusion of a crane as a motif in some way. My design individually seeks to transmit joy, peace and balance with two main motifs being a crane and a feather. Texture plays an important role in this piece since that is what makes all the figures and the background blend in an interesting way. As it can be seen,  the wall paper is trying to represent a mobile wall piece by the vertical arrangement of the figures and the joining of these with the lines hanging from the top.
In the process of making the final wall paper design, I played with different textures, colors and motifs and then finally put the piece together as a whole.
