Converting sound into visuals
This project was all about creating a system that could be applied to music to generate visuals for various tone qualities, instruments, moods, and pitches that make music beautiful. I am a musician, I played piano and french horn in high school, so I know what regular written music looks like. I wanted to use that as an inspiration but then make my own spin off of that. I used various shapes to represent different instruments, color ranges to represent different moods of the piece, and used height to represent different pitches that each instrument was playing.
