Here is a peek into the journey and process behind my paper toy craft activity kits.
Back in June 2015 I decided that creating a range of Aussie Footy Mascots would be a good way to share and spread my papery crafty love!!!
All the mascots started out being sketched and coloured by hand, before being recreated on the computer.
Then I'd totter off to the local print shop.
Then I'd cut, fold and stick together prototypes of my wee characters.
With 18 teams in the competition there was lots of arms and paws and beaks and paws and wings to put together!
And balls!
Lots of photographs were taken along the way. Over 1000 were needed to create the step by step instructions for each kit!
As the craft packs entered the final stages of design I started to send my concept out to over 50 businesses with AFL affiliations. I've had plenty of positive feedback but nobody wants to to support the idea and get it out to the wider market yet.
With the 2016 season quickly approaching I'll market these myself I suppose! They'll be no logos or sponsors on the final versions. Check out www.boxedspapercrafts.com for further info.
