It was inevitable, with the reboot of the My Little Pony franchise, that one day one or both of my nieces would ask me to make them a pony of their own. 

I searched the webs and was able to find this awesome pattern by  NerdyKnitterDesigns that I was able to tweak into the ponies each girl wanted. 

This is the first pony, Bon Bon, made for my oldest niece. The original pattern had the hair crocheted in a set style but I knew this girl would have more fun with a loose mane. I did attempt to put some curl in it but gave up. At the time she was three and no curls can stand up to that kind of abuse.

Bon Bon's eyes and cutie are made out of white felt with sharpie markers.

This is Pinkie Pie. She totally fits the personality of my second niece. PINK! I used the same pattern as I used with Bon Bon. Pinkie sports a layered mane and I found a way to crochet both the eyes and the cutie mark.
