This is one of my favorite projects I have worked on because I thought in the concept of the music album based on the type of music. Most of all the songs reflect loneliness thats why I used everything in black and white to make it dramatic, sober and elegant. Also the songs are covers of latin american folkore songs so I used pictures of Guapulo that is a beautiful colonial place of Quito, EC.

 

The pictures (You can check them out closely in the album Tierra y Flor - Photography) had this concept reflected too, as you could see most of all the pictures are not posed, the singers stood naturally in front of the camera.

The design I wanted to be as simple as I could so I used no color and with a typography that is legible. The background of the CD has a picture of a wall of Guápulo, where the photoshoot was taken place.

 

For the lyrics of the album I used pictures of the walls of Guápulo, where the photoshoot was taken, and I mixed with the handwritting of the singer, this way the CD has a different conection with the audience making it more personal.
