A small project carried out by myself in 2013, to explore the use of digital software such as Photoshop to create a character portrait. I came across a tutorial by Blizzard artist Samwise Didier, which showed his creative process, and I wanted to try this out. This was very new to me at the time, and a few of my friends were happy enough to oblige. I learned a lot about blending modes, the use of brushes, and working from dark to light to achieve contours and depth. I would like to go back to this style in future, but try to remain faithful to the subjects features.
