A new microbrewery in Columbus, OH wants a visual identity, logo, and packaging designs for their three flagship beers. They want to communicate a mature, clean aesthetic that evokes the colorful history of alchemy and hermetic sciences without becoming a pastiche. The cans will be packaged and merchandised exclusively as six-packs attached with snap rings.
I used traditional geometry, high-contrast palettes, and a strong logomark to create three coordinated can designs that will stand out on the shelf. Clear geometric elements are layered to produce a dense, yet orderly pattern that gives the brand a sense of depth and gravitas. Clear color choices and bold typography make the cans extremely legible and stand apart from illustration-heavy packaging from other brands.
