I travelled to a fair number of countries in my short time here but none, I have to say, are as beautiful and breathtaking as Nepal. This country, hit by a devastating earthquake - of which aftershocks still can be felt now, 8 months later - and an oilcrisis, is inhabited by almost unnaturally nice people. During my three week stay there I felt more welcome than I had ever imagined. The willingness of the Nepalis to show there country, culture and cuisine is felt every day and almost no tourist visits Nepal without wanting to directly go back after coming home.
