PC RPG Data Visualisation

For this project we were tasked with gathering 100 pieces of abstract data and making them visually interesting, easy to understand, and ultimately to discover something about the data. For my set of data I collected consumer data about Personal Computer Role-Playing Games from the year 1996 to present day. Then I created a series of ratios based on each game to find how the game performed in terms of budget to revenue and how the ratio should look for a game to be successful. This project led me to discover that time is a significant factor in whether or not a video game studio is open, very few studios started before 2001 are still in business. It also found which years RPG's were more popular, and that RPG's have been on a steady rise since their inception, but the quality of said games have gone down with each year.
Thanks for taking a look!
