Co-exist
This piece was created by fold forming copper. I wanted to create a space where one could co-exist with live plants. I used air plants that don't need soil to live. They get most of their water and nutrients from the air. I've had it photographed with and without the plants, but prefer it with the plants.
The mechanisms are ball joints that are attached to the spiculum that goes around the neck. The clasp is a ball joint that hooks into a small cup that holds another ball. A heat patina is applied all over for the colored effect.
