Shuriken

Shuriken’s form imitates folded geometry focusing on planes instead of lines. It also takes the form of the shuriken, a classic Japanese star shaped weapon.

The bowl is colored from the bottom and faded to the top leaving it minimal and transparent. The sharp planes and bold colors establish a dialogue with their spatial context.

Prototype Materials: Laser-cut Acrylic / hand-dipped glass paint (blue version) / acrylic spray paint (gold version)

Vetrotec’s brief was to develop an object for the tablescape that could be given as a corporate gift to clients and collaborators of their company. It was also important to showcase technologies including float glass, polymerizing glue, and coloring techniques.
