Salt of the Earth is a documented journey of Afrikan Sniper's personal travels to Uganda, capturing the complex dimensions of East African life. Processed through a Black American lens, Afrikan Sniper juxtaposed imagery that confronts static images of Africa - blending moments between the city and countryside, fluxuating currency rates and boda boda gangs loitering college campuses. In her latest edition, Afrikan Sniper leads her audience on an exploration to a place that she had never considered home before, raised as an American-born African, learning the landscape of her father's birthplace with reflexive understanding of tradition and legacy.
