A simple twist to a video that I've already created. Pioneer Days the board game is a creation I came up with for grades 5 thru 8 to learn them about life before technology. I had to do a little bit more research on the topic of Pioneer times and come up with a way of presenting it so that kids can appreciate life of past times, after research I came up with a board game for 2-4 players. I created the game so the players had to play the game and not get a "bad" card such as drought or sick crops. "Good" cards were always welcomed such as $500 towards the purchase of equipment or crops. The winner of the game got to be Mayor of Pioneer City. To create this game, I had to think of what it would be like to live in the pioneer days and what would happen to crops and machinery as time went on. I also had to come up with a way to keep the player's attention so that they can learn and have fun at the same time. Creating the video for this game I had to think of the idea and how I was going to tell others about this game. So, once I've got all the research I needed done I put the script together of how I wanted the game to promoted. then I used GarageBand and voiced the vocal track several times. I took the best vocal tracks out of the ones I recorded and put them into Final Cut. I then created pictures that I wanted to use in Photoshop and brought them over to Final Cut as well and edited them all together by making sure that timing and video both synced together and the idea was complete.
To create a perfect video game I needed to use a storyboard with ideas of what I was going to put into the video.
I also had to use Photoshop in order to create slides for my presentation to give information such as rules and what ever else was needed for the board game such as cards and the board piece itself.
After doing research on how to create information about Pioneer Village that I knew about I turned it into Pioneer Days the Interactive Game. Below is how is the Final Cut editing I used to create the video of Pioneer Days.
