The Taqwacores is a film which tells the story of a Muslim punk house in Buffalo New York. The film is based on a book which described a fictitious Islamic punk scene. The response to the brief is a ‘book in a box’ format, inspired by Apsen. This anarchic approach reflects the culture depicted in the film. The contents of the box includes replicas of graphic items from the film. The house is show to be littered with posters gigs, handmade zines and characters wearing band patches.
