Faces of Radiologic Technology

*Note: Did graphic design, not programming, of the piece

In 2014/15, RLMG produced media for the museum and archives of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists. Housed in the society’s Albuquerque, NM headquarters, the new museum celebrates the past, present, and future of medical imaging technology and especially the professionals who work with it.

As a piece of this museum, the Faces of Radiologic Technology touch table displays photos and brief biological information about radiologic technologists, or RTs, from around the nation. RTs are a large and diverse group who are dedicated to their jobs and have many interesting insights into their profession.

The 55” 4k touch table interactive acquaints visitors with the wide diversity of people working as RTs and reveals their love for—and insights into—their chosen profession. When active, the piece displays a grid of photos showing RTs in portraits, at work, and at play. By touching one of these images, a visitor can cause the photo to flip over, revealing basic information about that person and—more prominently—a quote or brief anecdote about their experiences as an RT.
