PARTS DURING THE MACHINING PROCESS
WHEELS ARE "6.00 X "3.875 MACHINED FROM "6.00 Dia. 6061-T6 ALUMINUM
SHIELD WERE MACHINED FROM "1/4 EXTRUDED 6061-T6 ALUMINUM.
Under a more realistic delivery date, I would have used "3/4 plate in order to eliminate end mill chatter.
BASE PLATES WERE MACHINED OUT OF "2.50 6061-T6 ALUMINUM
HERE IS AN UNEDITED SLIDE OF THE TROPHY.
This frame shows the sandblasting I did on the spokes. Unfortunately, text on the base is vinyl.
The vinyl text was a last minute mishap. Living in a small town and breaking the rule of trusting a conversation on phone, burning the text in this semi-solid base was not a good idea however, another shop locally stepped in and hooked me up with the vinyl.
THANKS FOR WATCHING
